DHBW HEILBRONN

Quality Link Project Partner

Who we are

The DHBW Heilbronn is part of The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW), Baden- Wuerttemberg Corporate State University, which is the largest university system in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg with more than 34.000 enrolled students at 9 different locations. Each campus functions as a separate entity, specializing in different degree courses, which reflect regional economic development and ties to local industry. A dual study program is unique as it combines university studies with practical experience in a company. Therefore, students alternate between academic studies at the university and work-place training at their chosen company for the duration of their 3-year-degree program. The DHBW Heilbronn is located in the city of Heilbronn, surrounded by vineyards; it lies in the heart of the Heilbronn-Franken region, an area well known not only for its world market leaders but also as a hub of innovative small and medium sized companies.

Why are we participating in the project

Due to its HE experiences and partner network, the DHBW focuses on the development of innovative quality concepts by working with leading industry partners showing a strong commitment towards educational innovation. The construct of the dual education collaboration of the DHBW and their partner companies ensures continuous feedback and engagement by key industry stakeholders in Germany and especially in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The German Federal State of Baden Wuerttemberg is one of the leading economic regions across Europe. Home to internationally renowned corporations and thousands of successful SME’s, it is known for its innovative drive and inventive spirit, as well as for a high level of productivity and low unemployment rate. DHBW Heilbronn has many years of experience in the field of research on HE quality assurance and clearing house concepts. Our institution has successfully managed and has been a reliable partner organization for several EU-funded projects. Providing access to relevant quality data about a course or a piece of educational content will allow DHBW Heilbronn to increase the attractiveness of its degree programs and cater to emerging market needs.

Our role in the project

As a coordinator, DHBW oversees the implementation of all activities and serves as main contact point for externals.
