The QualityLink project aims at creating a technical architecture for aggregating basic course data and quality indicators from various trusted data sources, including the ability to match data from different sources on the same micro-credential, course or study programme.
Within the current project, the architecture will be tested and piloted for selected indicators. As a first step, the consortium proposed a wide array of quality domains and indicators that are potentially relevant for different stakeholders, in particular learners. Through a series of focus groups and a public survey the consortium is gauging which indicators are most relevant and important to different stakeholders.
The present analysis explores a range of possible data sources from which data for these indicators could potentially be acquired. The report analyses the feasibility of including these data sources in an aggregated dataset. This includes different facets, including technical feasibility as well as other factors such as openness, licensing and costs.
Possible data sources were identified through extensive brainstorming with the entire consortium. For each data source, KIC performed the necessary desk research to inform the analysis.
QualityLink is dedicated to creating a seamless and interoperable environment for sharing quality data across European higher education
